What is Marriage to Christian People? Is or faith Being Held Hostage

This country was founded on christian principles and traditions. Why must we loose our heritage and freedom of religions? There is a terrible wind blowing in our country to strike at biblical principles common to most christian denominations, marriage. In the Book of Genesis The institute of marriage is considered ordained by God for the lifelong relationship between one man as husband and one woman as wife. “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Mark 10:6–9).
Religious orders are formed when people in a religion disagree like Calvinist, Baptist, Presbyterian, so forth and so on. While I do not wish to see churches splitting, I do think that those who believe it okay to say that marriage spoken of in the bible is wrong should do as they wish but not at the expense of the church. It is their right and we have rights. It is wrong to do thing in a purpose mean way to prove your own theory or validate relationships. Washingtonians in DC are being shut out of a vote on the ballot by council members. Is that right? Please pray for this country. Is this how the Christians felt in the days of Christ. We are in the lion's den. If you want to support the fight in DC visit http://www.stand4marriagedc.com/takeaction/

Why spell G-d?

It is a practice by many Jewish people to omit the o in G-D. I came across this fact some time ago as I started to explore my Jewish Jesus. Y'shua (Jesus) who followed the tradions of the day Luke 4:12-15

G-d's name is treated with unusual reverence and care in Jewish tradition. The divine name, YHWH (spelled with the Hebrew letters yud, hey, vav, hey) is never pronounced. Traditionally, Jews read the word "Adonai" (often translated as "the Lord") whenever reading G-d's holiest name in Torah or in prayer. However, "Adonai" is not G-d's name. It is a personal choice I think to follow this practice. It is one of the ways many have chosen to respect The Creator, The Heavenly Father and the Father of Y'shua.

<"http://judaism.about.com/od/reformjudaismfaq/f/g-d_spelling.htm I took out the o">

Do not fret

With the latest economic crisis in the world I had to go to my bible.

Philippians 4:6

Amplified Bible (AMP) 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
New American Standard Bible (NASB) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

We must try not to worry. That doesn't mean to put your head in the sand but to go into your prayer telling God about it and Thanking him for his guidance and his control. We as human beings can only do what is humanly possible to solve the problem working with God which is to give him the heavy burden of possibilities. He blesses us with know how, ideas and the ability to work. He is the head of miracle outcomes. Like my grandma said "he can make a way out of no way."

Researching The Gospel of the Nazaraeans

I have been researching
The Gospel of the Nazaraeans ("observers") in Hebrew is believed to have been the Hebrew Gospel of Matthew and the source for the present gospel (which was composed in Greek). There are authentic, trustworthy ones who publicly  confirms that this gospel was both used and circulated among the earliest followers of Yahshua in the diaspora. Some believe it originated in Egypt, and that the latest possible date it might have been written was during the first half of the second century; however, there are other opinions that it was composed in the middle of the first century, when "Jesus" traditions were first being produced and collected. An earlier date is more likely than a later one. Jerome, Eusebius, and Hegesippus (the latter two not quoting it) make mention of it as do Origen, Clement (both Alexandrians). It is believed to have been known to Papias who died about 130 C.E. and may have quoted it in his lost "Exegesis of the Sayings of the Lord" (which is now "lost"). It is significant to note that Nicephorus, when drawing up his list of canonical and apocryphal books, stated that the Gospel of the Hebrews contained only 2200 lines, 300 fewer than Matthew. It has been suggested that these three hundred lines are the birth narratives of the first and second chapters of our canonical Matthew.
The Gospel of the Hebrews is a lost text. Cyril, Archbishop of Jerusalem, provides a summary of the text, and a few fragments survive in the form of quotations from patristic authors..

God, Me and Gay People

Why do people who say they love the Lord hurdle stones at people who also says they Love God. They happen to be labeled gay. I do not understand all that involve being gay. I believe that everyone have to go to God for themselves I kind of take Psalm 131 about that. All this belongs to God.

The Bible says a lot of thing not to do like eating cheeseburgers,or shellfish. Why aren't christian preaching from the pulpit against Burger King or McDonald or the market where there are lobster, crabs or shrimp. All of that is at our cook outs.

How about wearing cotton and polyester blend clothing. I believe you have to be careful about how to treat people. There are a lot of scriptures you can use that is considered to be
in support of this dislike people tend to use. In St John it tells you not to judge.

I am staying with Psalm 131

1 LORD, MY heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in matters too great or in things too wonderful for me.

2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me [ceased from fretting].

3 O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forever.

No one is perfect and God is the one working out our salvation through the Resurrection of Christ. I believe in the idea of other flock.

Definition of to walk from Ephesians 4:17-19

Walk in the Greek is Peripateo which means

2. Hebrew for, to live
1. to regulate one's life
2. to conduct one's self

Pateo means

1. to trample, crush with the feet
2. to advance by setting foot upon, tread upon: to encounter successfully the greatest perils from the machinations and persecutions with which Satan would fain thwart the preaching of the gospel

The moral mind

My study scripture

Part I:the vanity of their mind

that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd

Ephesians 4:17-19

King James Version (KJV)

17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

19Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

(New International Version)

17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 9 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.

Amplified Bible (AMP)

17So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.

18moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is
deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].

19 In their spiritual apathy they have become callous and past feeling and reckless and have abandoned themselves [a prey] to unbridled sensuality, eager and greedy to indulge in every form of impurity [that their depraved desires may suggest and demand].

Asked forgiveness reacting in a negative way

I find my self asking for forgiveness. I have all as God to forgive me. I was blind sided by a situation and I did not handle it right. I was in tears. It is so hard to admit when you are wrong even though the other person might have done something really mean. One of my daughter tried to help me not to get angry but my flesh said otherwise. An so here I am apologizing. I was so hurt and angry I could see straight. Even though I have excepted Christ as my personal savior I have a lot to work on Paul said it well. I have a little bit of it from Romans 7 verses 15 through 25

15For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [[b]which my moral instinct condemns].

16Now if I do [habitually] what is contrary to my desire, [that means that] I acknowledge and agree that the Law is good (morally excellent) and that I take sides with it.

17However, it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin [principle] which is at home in me and has possession of me.

18For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]

19For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing.

20Now if I do what I do not desire to do, it is no longer I doing it [it is not myself that acts], but the sin [principle] which dwells within me [[c]fixed and operating in my soul].

21So I find it to be a law (rule of action of my being) that when I want to do what is right and good, evil is ever present with me and I am subject to its insistent demands.

22For I endorse and delight in the Law of God in my inmost self [with my new nature].(D)

23But I discern in my bodily members [[d]in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh] a different law (rule of action) at war against the law of my mind (my reason) and making me a prisoner to the law of sin that dwells in my bodily organs [[e]in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh].

24O unhappy and pitiable and wretched man that I am! Who will release and deliver me from [the shackles of] this body of death?

25O thank God! [He will!] through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One) our Lord! So then indeed I, of myself with the mind and heart, serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

I was shocked at myself and confused as to why I reacted the way I did. I didn't see me. Everyday you have to ask God to search your heart because we do not know what is in there. Today I am meditating on Psalm 51

I am studying

I have been sitting here wondering why people lie out of the blue? You think everything is going well then someone you trust say something that is not true. I go to my bible when someone does that. This is one of my favorite Psalm 121

Psalm 121 (King James Version)

1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Peace of Mind

I am a mother of five and have a husband. I seem to be always in the middle of a tug of war. Everyone is over 12 now and they are doorstep ages. Sometimes there is so much going on you have no idea of what to do first, at least that is one of my downfalls. I have been in the bible a lot to give me some guidance. I was bless this week to hear some teaching on peace:Not just any peace but God's peace. I was fortunate to hear a radio cast Living in Peace in a Troubled World by Candace Brim. It has been very helpful in reminding me of the peace God has given through our faith in Christ. I not saying that I have mastered my calm but I have found tools in the bible to help me to work towards it. This url http://www.billyebrim.org/audio/by/artist/candace_brim is where you find Candace Brim revelation. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me. We have the mental ability to control some aspects of our thinking. We just need the tools and to practice often. I hope the following scriptures help in your search.

John 14:27

Amplified Bible (AMP)
27Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
27"(A)Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you (B)Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
King James Version (KJV)
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:1 : John 14:27; 16:22, 24

Romans 14:19

King James Version (KJV)
19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Amplified Bible (AMP)
19So let us then definitely aim for and eagerly pursue what makes for harmony and for mutual upbuilding (edification and development) of one another.

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the (B)building up of one another.

Intervention of Jesus Christ (part 1)

I believe that the burden of my salvation is given to Christ when we entrust ourselves to him. That doesn't mean that we should abandon our own efforts to do the right thing. I believe that we are human beings that are prone to mistake, but God's love for us is beyond the human understanding and threshold of love.
Acts 16:31; Hechos 16:31
I like the Amplified definition.
Amplified Bible (AMP) 31And they answered, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [[a]give yourself up to Him, [b] take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved, [and this applies both to] you and your household as well.

King James Version And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
